REPROART: Georgian-American Reproductive Centre

Reproart was opened in 2012 and blends fertility expertise from Georgia and the United States. It was founded by Lika Chkonia, the most experienced IVF practitioner in Georgia with over 30 years of experience of working in both countries.

Lika is assisted by David McCulloh, Assistant Laboratory Director at New York University’s Fertility Centre. Testimony to the success of the Tiblisi centre has been the launch of satellite clinics in the Kutaisi and Batumi regions, which has allowed greater access to the assisted reproductive treatments offered.

In its own words, the clinic offers a fusion of the best of Georgian and American fertility expertise at a fraction of the cost you would expect to pay in Western Europe or the U.S.

As you would expect from a modern assisted reproductive clinic Reproart provides an extensive range of mainstream treatments and services to address fertility issues which includes;

  • IVF – In Vitro Fertilization

  • ICSI – Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

  • Embryo Freeze

  • Oocyte Freeze

The clinic offers a full set of reproductive and gynaecological services for men and women.

The donor programme offered is hugely successful and boasts a 70% success rate with donor eggs. All donors receive extensive counselling, consultation, screening and examination to assess their physical and mental health. Only when he or she satisfies strict criteria will they be considered for the programme.

At the same time Reproart offers PREIMPLANTATION GENETIC SCREENING (PGS) a method that determines, in advance of embryo transfer, the number of chromosomes in a given embryo.
