Starting a fertility journey can be a daunting prospect.
November 9, 2017
There is a danger that you might be subjected to an information overload with ever increasing blogs, websites and social media platforms offering personalised solutions to match your specific requirements. I have witnessed first-hand the bewilderment experienced by both individuals and couples when their most intimate secret is brought out into the open. Working for the Fertility Network UK questions were asked such as Who can we trust? What should we be looking for? Should we travel for treatment? What treatments are available? What is the cost? and ultimately, Is invasive treatment the only option?, were commonplace.
I wanted to provide a platform for those questions to be asked, considered and responded to by the very best clinicians, clinics and companies in the fertility field. I wanted to provide an opportunity to showcase the range of diverse information and support services available and give the best in the field an opportunity to showcase their experience, support, care, treatment and products. I wanted to offer the leaders in fertility an opportunity to collaborate, network, share best practice and have access to business development support provided by a team of individuals who have specific experience of working in the fertility field.
The result of these ‘wants’ is the European Fertility Network. Over the past five years I have been privileged to meet those at the very forefront of this great science, visit centres of excellence throughout Europe and now I would like to share this knowledge with you.
